Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 has arrived! Myriad functionality has been packaged with the latest version of the CRM platform, but the most exciting feature for me is Interactive Dashboards. Originally designed to be an interactive dashboard for customer service in CRM, I believe Microsoft realized the potential of this feature and expanded upon it.

One cool feature in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is the ability to filter your data by the use of Views. This allows your end users to focus only on the data they need to see in a given day. You can also customize and create new views to filter the data as needed. For instance, you can create views of Activities due by Owner or Accounts owned within your teams territory. Microsoft also comes with many views pre-built for you:

Most companies make sure they backup their data and computer systems but they overlook the potential to have a good disaster recovery plan in case their phone system goes down. When phone lines go down how will it impact your business? With backup SIP Trunks you can also make sure your business communication is safe using redundancy.
Nothing makes doctors cringe more than someone blurting the acronym HIPPA. What is HIPPA and why should I care, after all I am a doctor for heaven’s sake! While that statement is often tossed around in casual conversations among peers, the underlying majority sentiment among the medical community is that it scares all healthcare principals to the bone. So you’ve heard of Viruses and Phishing attacks, but have you heard of Ransomware? Ransomware is basically a combination of a virus and phishing attack that employs an application to encrypt your data to hold it for ransom. The phishing part of the attack is centered on an email with some type of attachment. An example would be “My Resume for your consideration” with a word document attached. The Word document has macros that will go out to the Internet, download and run an application that will search for and encrypt all of your data files (PDF, Office App files, photos, etc).
Microsoft Dynamics CRM allows the ability to attach documents to emails or notes against your Accounts, Contacts, Leads, etc. to help you manage and organize your customer data:
Currently in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, an Activities tab is available within the Notes control on newer Account, Lead and Contact forms to allow quick access for viewing and creating activities:

User Adoption, the dirty words in CRM. You spent all of this money and now have 15 out of 90 users who work in and out and all over your expensive, shiny, new CRM solution. They love it! About another 20 or so are trying but seem not to get it. The rest begrudgingly enter some notes and a phone number or two and that’s it.
